A 3 lb weight loss (but wish it was more)

So far I've had a 3 pound weight loss using the NutriSystem diet. I've had a couple of set backs during my first 8 days of being on it. Excuse my forwardness, but constipation has been the biggest issue. I know, I know. Not the kind of thing you want to read about on a blog but hey, we've all dealt with it some time in our lives. Overall I really like the program. It's easy to journal your daily food. You just have to check off when you eat something and write in the time. For instance, breakfast is NutriSystem entree, a serving of protien or dairy and a fruit. I like to space out my breakfast over the course of 3 or 4 hours when I'm home. My fav breakfast entree has been pancakes that you make yourself. They have 12 grams of fiber in them!
So addressing the (but wish it was more) in the title: Why is it that I can never be happy with a slow, steady weight loss? I'm a instant gratification kind of girl and have been for a long time. I want it all and I want it now. Old habits die hard. So I need to reform and be grateful for the slow and steady. It's what wins the race, right? Wish me luck.

Hi Kellie, It's great to meet another Kellie who knows how to spell her name correctly! ;)

And it would appear that we have more in common than our names! I struggle w/weight issues constantly and I'm not satisfied when I am dieting unless I lose an impossible amount of weight! Which I never tend to do.

BUT three pounds is nothin' to sneer at, really! So good for you and best of luck!

I'll be back to visit you!

I lost 7 lbs by being so sick I could barely breathe let alone eat. (but I've gained 3 back since I got better)

Right now all I can eat is noodles, ice cream, and fruit. So be glad that you aren't losing the way I am.
