Cherry Pie

I pitted cherries all day yesterday in the attempt of saving every single one. Lyndee's grandpa has a glorious garden and quite a few fruit trees. His Bing cherry tree is loaded this year, but the cherries have ripened up to good. So I dried as many as I could on my little dehydrator then pitted some more for a cherry pie using this recipe . (I would only let Alex have a slice if he sang, She's my cherry pie) I did change a few things though, like adding 3 cups of cherries (next time I'll use 4 cups) and brandy flavoring instead of almond (that's what I had). Rave reviews from the fam! I'm going to pick some more, pit, then freeze for future cherry pies
