Friday was Alex's last day of school. It was bitter sweet to see it end and yet he and I can't wait until Kindergarten (I'm sure for seperate reasons). The kids enjoyed water play all day, which included a bounce house waterslide, swimming pools, and ice sculpting. It seemed that I spent most of my day there (I had forgot his swim things and had to run back home for them) and it was one of the hotest we've had this summer.
During the last circle time, each child was called up and given a certificate and gift, then Julie and Diana shared with us what they enjoyed the most about our child. Alex was known for calling Julie "Grandma Julie" and that just tickled her to pieces.
With some fabric crayons, Alex made a special picture for each teacher, then I ironed it onto a flour sack towel. They turned out great so the girls will be doing the same for their teacher.
