Many of you have witnessed it. Many of you have had it stuck close to your face. Many of you have been touched with it. I'm talking about Alex's monster wart that he's had on his right pointer finger for the last year. Well, as of yesterday, it has been terminated! I made a doctors appt. for him to have it burnt off, for the second time, and after many wart bandaids that didn't work. But as we are discussing the monster wart with Dr. Lisa she suggests we cut the sucker off so it won't come back a third time. The only consequence to this choice is the Novocain needle that has to been jabbed into his little baby finger over and over and over again. As soon as the crocodile tears started to fall and the screams of holy terror started to roll, I had to call for backup, Officer Daddy. He dropped whatever he was doing and came to the rescue to comfort his son. Alex calmed down some after that and I was able to concentrate on the operation. When the wart had been removed she scraped the underlying skin with a tool. Alex described this as "toasty", we think because it made the sound of buttering toast. (Yuck) The doc even got blood on her clothes which Al thought was sooooo cool. (Boys are weird). The rest of my day consisted of donuts and toys (the bribes) for my brave little guy.
