Turlock PDs Open House

Neil participated in the PDs 3rd annual open house a couple of weeks ago. He did 2 demos with Mike S. along side. This was much better than last years because he has had lots of practice and has attended 2 competitions.

Motor Competition in Oakland

Neil had a motorcycle competition this past Sat. in Oakland. He and another officer rode together and I took the kids and his wife and arrived right before it started. It took place at the Harley dealership in Oakland and they had Neil did fantastic for his first competition placing 4th out of 28 contestants. It was such an adrenalin rush to watch him ride the cone patterns. His best time was 1:31. 1st place time was 1:27 so he wasn't far behind. Samantha and Alex were so proud of their Daddy and can't wait to go to the next meet. It will be in Elk Grove in Aug. We will be his little competition groupies.

Motorcycle Divas

Last Friday Neil took Samantha and Lyndee on their first ever motorcycle ride. Samantha has recently shown interest in taking a ride with her Daddy which got the ball rolling for him to order her a pink helmet. He wanted to get her a beautiful pink leather jackie for her birthday (March 31st) but I wouldn't let him. Can you tell he is THRILLED that she has shown interest!! The ride lasted for 30min. for each of them and when they returned there was a perma-grin on their face.

Future Motorcycle Officer

Neil was fixing his helmet one night and Alex asked if he could put it on. I thought photo opp because he looked so cute. Then Neil decided to do the whole set up. Earlier that day, Daddy and Alex had a conversation about what Al wants to to when he grows up. He says he wants to be a motorcycle racer!! And of course, Neil was encouraging this over being a police officer. He said far less motorcycle racers die each year verses police officers. Why can't he pick something less dangerous like being an accountant.
